Car accidents and spring time

So I suppose I will start with the bad news. A 16 year old girl tried to merge into us yesterday about 20 feet from our Apt. on our way home from our meeting last night. I feel bad for her, when her dad showed up he wasn't very nice to her. It just reminded me of when I crashed my dad's 1972 chevy pick up..classic! And when he saw the truck his first reaction was to make sure I was ok. I'm greatful for that. Poor girl. Good news about the situation is it is all fixed now. Her dad buffed my car and after buffing it saw there was actually a pretty good dent in it so he called a guy to come fix it at my apt and it looks brand new now. The red rectangle is where the dent once was.

ALSO, this morning when I woke up for Jarren's 6am feeding I looked out our window and thought I saw snow on the tree and ground...I was sad. Then when I woke up at 8 I discovered it was blossoms! YAY SPRINGTIME! ...though it will probably snow again soon. For some reason Utah likes to snow, I don't like it. My beautiful tree outside my window will go from this:

California Pictures

So we got there Monday afternoon and just relaxed. We could have gone to disneyland monday, we had a 5 day hopper pass. But we decided to wait til Tuesday. Tuesday morning we had a family day at disneyland where we all stuck together and rode rides we could all ride. Then the rest of the time we split up in different groups. Friday morning came and we were tired of Disneyland, so we went to the beach. Then around 5 we went back to disneyland and saw some shows and the light parade. After that Brittney, Katie and I went on the big rollercoasters til 11:45. It was a fun trip, we had a good time. It was Jake's first time to Disneyland and he liked it a lot. I just threw pictures together instead of posting them all seperately on here.

Home sweet home

We are home! We had a lot of fun, but I missed my bed. Pictures to come either later tonight or tomorrow. Depending on if I want to get ready for bed right now.

Said outloud Goals.

So just a quick update on my "said outloud goals". If you didn't read that post in January or Feb you can go find it, I don't have time to link it right now..sorry. I have to run to my early saturday morning meeting.

On Monday morning as I was looking at myself in the mirror, pretty disgusted at how my body looked only 4 years after graduation, I decided that I want to be skinny more than I want food. I'm a big Italian food lover, so you can imagine how hard this next decision was for me. I AM GIVING UP CARBS! I haven't had any kind of bread, cracker, pasta, tortilla, rolls, candy, sugary substance since Monday night! I've lost 7 lbs this week and I'm eating right and working out.

I'm at my lowest weight since I've had Jarren and all I'm eating is Eggs for breakfast, banana and peanut butter for lunch or a salad of some sort with very limited dressing and fish for dinner, I can have chicken but Jake is enjoying the new change to fish so we have been having that. I must say Peanut Butter is saving my life. I love it, it's thick so it fills you up, it's not the typical nasty taste of diet foods AND it's good for your Abs, according to my friend nicki and her diet for abs book. I haven't even craved sugar or pasta or bread like I usually do when I diet. I love what I'm eating and I'm loosing weight. Oh I also eat fruits and veggies as snacks or with meals.

I do Hip Hop abs to work out, my knees have a hard time running outside after my knee surgeries 2 years ago, I'm working up to that :) "Shaun T" from hip hop abs makes me laugh, sounds kinda...gay. No offense to gay people out there, but when you are working out and keep hearing "Hey Girl" ...."GIIIIIRL your doing awesome!" things like that it just makes you laugh. But I like it none the less, I get to dance (which I don't do in front of anyone, I make Jake go to the bedroom if he is home!) and it's fun and I'm working out!

Anyway I must go, I should have left 4 minutes ago. I'm just giving myself a pat on the back in public!

Who needs a barber?

So I was sitting and looking at Jarren's hair today while he was crawling on the floor. It was starting to get long. ..but I love his long hair, it's so soft, baby's hair is lovely. Anyway, I was going to wait until he hit a year old to cut it but I decided, he probably can't go another 3 months without being mistaken as a girl. So...I pulled out the clippers!

He did very well at first. I think he liked the vibrating of the clippers on his scalp. So I was able to get the top done, then we moved to the sides and he started getting restless. He kept moving and putting his head and body in weird positions, was he going to make this easy for me? No.

Finally after I got done with the sides and had to move to the back he was practically making it impossible. So I had Jake hang him upside down, It worked GREAT! Jarren had an upside down haircut for his first haircut. I had to use the scissors for his hair by his ears and on the back of his neck, but he didn't move at all. Such a good little boy :)

I will miss his beautiful strawberry blonde locks.

Frustrations Part 2

For those of you who have been reading my blog since clear back in November, you may remember the original post "Frustrations". If you haven't, you can click on that and read it. We are having the same problem again. My family is going to California this next week and we are going with them and spending the week at Disneyland. My family is leaving on Monday, but as for us, we still don't know which day we are leaving. Jake could have gotten Monday off but we won't know if he got Tuesday off til Monday nights, so we can't really even leave on Monday...yay for us. I CAN'T wait til Jake can quit there.

Sleepy Baby

Jarren decided to stay up til about 2 this morning, usually he is in bed by 12 at the latest. Then I couldn't go to sleep. Anyway, he hasn't taken very good naps today, except when he is in his high chair eating puffs. He has now fallen asleep 3 times today in his high chair, if we get him out he wakes up. I almost want to leave him in there, but we don't have the cover on cause it is washing, so it's not too comfy.

PINK HAIR!

So my hair has now been washed about 5 times and still has pink in it. Nobody else that went with me had their hair get dyed from the powder! Any suggestions on how to get powder out of my hair without ruining the blonde highlights that are in it now?

The Festival of Colors.

So there is this Temple in Spanish Fork that looks like a temple from India. Every year there is a celebration at the beginning of Spring. They get together have dancing performances and food and clothes and the festival of colors. There is this HUGE group of people... this is only half of them in the picture! You get to buy bags of powder for $1 each. They are very BRIGHT colors. Then they light a fake witch on fire and you throw all the powders on each other.

I went with Jake, Nicki and Adam. We were VERY bright afterwards. It was actually a lot of fun. If you are in the area you should look into it next year.

Down sides of it, my hair and face are STILL pink after washing them. AND I think I got a cold, actually no...I KNOW I'm sick. I'm already coughing and not feeling well. But it was very worth it. Next year I'll just wear a sweater.

Time Flies

So one of my goals to myself was to keep blogger updated as much as possible, in the last two weeks I have failed at that. I can't believe how time flies once you have kids. And I only have ONE! You people with more than one amaze me. Congrats to all of you.

So to update you on the last two weeks of funness in my life. I have been working for my dad doing trusts like crazy, and at the same time trying to start my business at WFG. Along with that I've been chasing around my little boy who is much smarter than he should be. He seems to think he is an adult like the rest of the world so he should be walking around like the rest of them. So now he crawls over to anything he can pull himself up to a standing position with (ex. couch, walker, banana chair) and he stands up and walks around it. We have encountered many bumps/scratches/brusies with this advanced skill of his. He isn't even 8 months yet! On top of it all he thinks big people good is ok to eat, so we have started him on gerber stars, french fries and his favorite..pickles. Yum. Other than that I make him stick to just baby food. One day my son...one day.

Anyway, I had strep throat last week. That was fun...not. It was the worse strep throat I've ever had. Couldn't eat/swallow/talk/breath. I had a highish fever and on top of it all...I had Jarren. Who needs all the attention so my head was spinning a bit. It is still spinning trying to get everything organized after being out for almost a full week.

Then, since the weather has been nice we decided to get Jarren out of the house and take a trip to the zoo with our good friends Nicki and Logan. He didn't like the sun much. He hasn't really ever spent time in it. He was born towards the middle of the summer last year and stayed inside out of the heat and then inside all winter so this was really his first "outting" in the sun. He hates it in his eyes...throws a fit. But here are some good pictures from the experience. I'm sure we will go many more times this summer.

And last but not least...Shannon. If you are reading this, I LOVE your photography. I would really like to have you do Jarren's pictures so...if you are reading this, please respond and let me know if you can do it. I would love you forever.

Oh and a side note to Kirk...I'm terribly sorry that I didn't write for two weeks. I don't know what you did without me. But hopefully I'm back now. Have a lovely night.

WFG Convention

I just got back from convention on Sunday, seriously the most amazing thing EVER!

On Thursday we had a bunch of workshop classes with very good speakers. They make you want to get your butt in gear and go out and help families!

One of the girls that spoke is a millionaire and a couple years ago she was a waitress at Denny's, now she is out helping families get out of debt and making good money doing it!

I also got to try Korean food for the first time while I was there...not bad.

Some of my favorite quotes from the convention:

"J-O-B Just over broke"

"Stop peeing your diaper, grow up and be a woman/man"

"Trying to do something good or right is going to make people pull you down or squeeze you. When you get squeezed, what comes out is what is inside you. Are you determined, are you relentlous, are you courages, are you a champion?"

"The comfortable ignorace of a placid illusion is always preferable to the harsh realities of an unwanted truth"

The convention was the most life changing experience I have ever had, I'm motivated in everything. Not just the company. My parents won a lot of awards because they are amazing at the company.

One thing I DIDN'T want to learn...how dirty L.A. is.
